Robert Dimond has been diving the reefs and wrecks of Florida and the Caribbean since 1971. His love of the ocean and it's inhabitants has induced him to log more than 4,000 SCUBA dives; and thousands of free dives. He ardently believes that the feeding of marine wildlife is inherently wrong and will cause severe ecological damage . He, along with the other members of the Marine Safety Group, has dedicated himself to preserving the natural marine ecosystem; and to keep wildlife wild. Bob believes that threats to public safety and the environment are most expeditiously resolved through a direct confrontation with the perpetrator. Employing a gradual approach through negotiation, instead of a coup de main, usually results in an unnecessary compromise and palliation of the problem.
In a picture frame on Bob's desk sits this quote....
'First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.' - Gandhi
